Hi.
My name is Russell, and I am new to the HighDesert community forum.
So I thought I would check in and say hello to my highdesert neighbors.

I live in Phelan. Have been here for about 15 years or so. We moved here from San Bernardino, by way of Norwalk/Downey/Barstow..

(lol...my mom lived in Barstow and after my family and I left the Norwalk, Ca area, we moved up to Barstow with mom. She had been bugging us for years to move to the desert. She loved it up here, and so we eventually moved over here to Phelan.)

I lost my mom in January, this year.....still trying to get used to that.

Anyway, hello, pleased to metcha. Hope I can make some friends, get some good info when I need it.

I do have a question for anyone that can help answer it...?

Ive had an highdesert.com email address for a long long time...
I use it when I need a safe place to have important email sent to me. (by safe place, I mean, a web based email account that I dont have to worry about getting spammed, or having highdesert.com sell their client list to someone, if you know what I mean)

Anyway, I tried to log in today, and I cannot get in.
I use IE7, so my log in information is saved by my browser...meaning I obviously did not use incorrect information to log in.
But, It just wont log into my email account.

So I tried several other combinations, just to see whats what, and nothing I did would allow me to be able to access my email.

I came here to the forums to see if anyone else was having issues, and apparently Im not the only one who cannot access their highdesert.com email address.
I even read that highdesert has disabled, or dropped, the web based email accounts.

Is this true? Are we just out of luck when it comes to getting our important emails from our highdesert.com email accounts?

Heck, there isnt even a link anywhere on the email log in page, or the highdesert main page, where you can contact or ask or even search for some help.

Anyone know what the scoop is regarding our email accounts?
How do we get into them?
CAN we even get into them?

Thanks, in advance, for any info or help you can provide me.

And once again, Hello, and Im glad to be here.

Later
Razz

Razz, the person who let you in here is in charge. Ask her via the same email you used to open your account and she'll share some very interesting information with you.

Eric, Im not sure what your referring to?
I think all I did was register for this forum.
I dont actually recall going thru a person, or a woman, to be able to activate an account with high desert community forums.

Of course, my memory is really bad, and I may just not remember doing so.

What are you referring to exactly, if I can ask?

Thanks for reply to my post, friend.

Russell

I didn't realize you had been a member for a long time. I thought you were a new person. I meant that you should send Jane an email.

Just click on the name "Jane" and pm her. You'll find it under moderator.
